1. Where are Merry Lake handbags and accessories made?

All Merry Lake items are made with care in small batches in New York City by a small, third generation company.





2. What kinds of materials are used?

Only premium, luxury leather is used to make Merry Lake bags. The leather is a sustainable, renewable resource and is a by-product of a food source. If this leather was not being made into bags, it would be discarded as trash. High-quality leather is a durable material; your bag will last a very long time and will develop a beautiful patina. Leather has natural wrinkles, marks, and scars. Variations in color and texture are genuine and natural features of leather.





3. How do I care for my bag?

It is recommended to wipe all spots and spills from the surface of the bag as soon as possible with a slightly damp cloth. Twice a year, you can apply a coat of colorless  leather shoe polish to your handbag and buff with a soft cloth. All leather used to make Merry Lake bags is colorfast for polishing, but make sure to test a small unseen area anyway for safety.

For the lining, spots can be cleaned with a slightly damp cloth and then blotted with a dry cloth.

Never, ever store your Merry Lake bag or any other leather good in a plastic bag or container. This will most likely cause the leather to darken or discolor. Store all leather items in paper or cloth. Before storing a bag at the end of the season, be sure to clean it out, vacuum using a small attachment, and air it out for a couple of days prior to storage.






4. How will my order be packaged?

All orders are wrapped with care in tissue paper, enclosed in a waterproof bag for shipping protection, and then boxed. The tissue paper and boxes used for packing and shipping are made from 100 percent recycled paper.





5. What carrier is used for shipping my order?

Merry Lake ships UPS. All orders will ship Ground unless you have arranged otherwise.

Unfortunately, we cannot offer international shipping at this time.





6. How long will it take for my order to ship?

All orders are shipped the next business day. Expedited orders placed Monday through Friday before noon EST are shipped the same day. Expedited orders placed Friday after noon EST or on Saturday or Sunday are shipped Monday morning.




7. What is the Merry Lake return policy?

Your satisfaction and delight with all Merry Lake handbags and accessories are our number one concern. We will gladly accept returns within 15 days of your order.  Please note that shipping charges for return orders are the responsibility of the customer, please choose a carrier of your choice. All return packages must include a return form (enclosed with your original receipt) and must be insured for the full value of the merchandise. Your refund will be issued via the same method of payment used to pay for the order, less original shipping charges ( if applicable). 8. Do you offer gift certificates?

Currently, Merry Lake does not offer gift certificates, but we will in the near future.





9. Do you offer gift wrapping services?

Not at this time, although we will offer gift wrapping in the near future.
